TSA PreCheck®
TSA PreCheck® gives travelers access to expedited security lines at many major US airports. Whether you're a frequent flyer or only travel a few times a year, TSA PreCheck® can make air travel less stressful. Most TSA PreCheck® passengers get through airport security in less than ten minutes.
- Shorter, faster security lines at the airport
- No need to remove your shoes, belt, or light jacket
- Laptop and electronics, as well as 3-1-1 liquids, stay in your luggage
How do I enroll?
Select branches are now authorized TSA PreCheck® enrollment locations. Applying for TSA PreCheck® with AAA is easy.
- Complete an online application at tsa.gov/precheck.
- Schedule an in-person appointment at a AAA branch location through the tsa.gov website. Note you must make the appointment through the TSA website. AAA cannot schedule or access information about your appointment. At the appointment, you will be fingerprinted, and your background check completed. You will need a major credit card, bank check, or money order (made out to IDEMIA) to pay the required fee. (Note: No personal checks or cash can be accepted.)
- Expect notification of your approval from the TSA within a few weeks. You will be provided with your Known Traveler Number (KTN) at that time. This number is good for five years.
- Add your Known Traveler Number (KTN) to your travel reservations. The number will be added to your boarding passes, identifying you as a TSA PreCheck® passenger.
