AAA Western and Central New York has hired John Marino as a new Human Resources Business Partner. John previously worked in human resources at McGard LLC, a manufacturing company in Orchard Park. Prior to that, he was a Career Advisor and Labor Services Representative for the New York State Department of Labor.

“AAA is a company everybody knows, and it’s been named one of Buffalo Business First’s Best Places to Work — that was something that really attracted me to the job,” he said. “Everyone here is friendly and accommodating. I’m excited to join the team; it’s been a great fit.”

John will work out of AAA’s Amherst headquarters in the Buffalo region, but he will handle human resources for business lines across the region, focusing on travel, insurance, sales, marketing, public relations, accounting, and payroll.

“I’m looking forward to being a resource of information for our employees and to help each business line with their needs,” he said.
John is originally from the Finger Lakes region in Seneca Falls, and is an Alumnus of the University at Buffalo where he earned a degree in business administration and human resources. After graduation, he met his Buffalo native wife and has been here ever since.

The couple lives in Orchard Park keeps busy with their two young daughters and enjoy exploring the area in search of great restaurants and breweries. John likes to stay active on the weekends, playing golf with his friends and competing in a local soccer league.
