AAA Western and Central New York has hired a new Director of Finance. Scott Kukelka will oversee AAA’s long-term financial health and growth across Western and Central New York, beginning with a new accounting system.

Scott brings vast accounting experience to AAA Western and Central New York covering enterprise risk, internal auditing, and revenue control, and he previously held the title of Director of Finance for Delaware North. He will work out of the AAA headquarters in Amherst and is already diving into his work.

“I’m calling myself an agent of change, taking from experiences that I had had in the past to help the club move the accounting and finance function forward.  I will start by helping to roll out a new accounting system,” he said. “Current initiatives, such as the new budget software, are already in place but as with all implementations, there are always kinks to work out. With any new or current initiatives, I hope to take on challenges with the club’s best interest in mind and leave them in a better place.”

A South Buffalo native and a University at Buffalo Alumni, Scott is excited to be back and settle down with his wife and three kids in the town of Hamburg.

“My wife and I are both originally from Buffalo and have family and friends here, so we’re thrilled to be back,” he said. “Starting at AAA, I would say I’m most excited to work on different projects across all facets of the business and to be a part of an established, tenured organization, especially embracing and building up my current team.”

In his free time, Scott is an avid runner and baseball fan. When he’s not attending stadium games and adding to his collection of baseball hats, Scott coaches his son’s tee-ball team and one of his daughters’ softball teams.
