A little about me- I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart Eric since 2008. We both volunteer in the Village of Lancaster as Volunteer Firefighters, along with both of our dads (which is how we met!). I started at AAA straight out of high school at 19 years old. I thought I wanted to be an elementary school teacher, but I started to realize very quickly while studying at Buffalo State College that it just wasn’t for me. I was hired at AAA in July of 2004 and worked my way up from drawing old-fashioned Trip Tiks to being a 5-time President’s Diamond Club Award Winning Travel Specialist. I got into travel because as a kid, I never got to travel much. In fact I never even flew on an airplane until I worked at AAA. I was fascinated by the world, and all the different ways you could travel: by cruise, by train, by group tours etc. To me, travel is like a puzzle, and I love being one of the pieces to my own and my clients' vacations.
I pride myself on going far beyond simply finding great prices and making reservations. My clients view me as a trusted resource whose industry knowledge, global relationships, and personal experiences add tremendous value, and makes travel planning EASIER and more enjoyable. Believe me- I don't mind if you already have some research done. Some people LOVE spending hours online printing pictures, and watching videos and reading reviews. I can validate what you have already worked on, and offer insightful recommendations to tailor each trip to your preferences, interests, and budget. I am here for you from beginning to end. I truly CARE about each and every one of my clients.
I love to stay up-to-date on new and exciting things in the travel industry. I believe in first-hand experience, which is why I always jump at the opportunity to travel somewhere new. I’ve been to Europe 4 times, Alaska twice, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. I’ve also traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada, including the gorgeous Canadian Rockies. When I’m not traveling, I’m working on becoming certified in new areas of Travel. Most recently, I earned my designation as a Lifestyle Specialist for Luxury Travel by the Travel Institute of America.
My favorite vacation was an Alaska Cruise I took in 2015. Traveling to Alaska was one of my husband’s dreams, and we decided to treat it like the once in a lifetime opportunity that it was. I will never forget flight-seeing over Juneau, then landing on Mendenhall Glacier in a helicopter and spending an hour dog-sledding with professional mushers. We brought home some amazing memories and a good amount of dog hair from cuddling with the puppies!
WITHOUT A DOUBT- Australia. My dream would include a visit to the Sydney Opera House, climbing the Sydney Harbor Bridge, driving a 4x4 on the sand highway at Fraser Island, following the Riesling trail to taste some of my favorite wines, swimming in the icebergs (public pools) in Bondi Beach and marveling at Ayers Rock. I’d need a break after all of that action, so I would most likely need to relax in an over-water bungalow in Tahiti before making my way back home to real life.
