I was born in the Albany, NY area and I’m the oldest of 7 children. I came to Western New York to attend Niagara University with dual majors in Travel & Tourism, and French. I was hired full-time during my senior year and have made this my home ever since. I always knew that I wanted to have some type of career that involved travel. Finding a university program that offered a degree in Travel & Tourism has given me the opportunity to work in a career that I am passionate about and gives me the opportunity to experience many of the same amazing trips that I have helped to arrange for my clients.
I have had the privilege of working in the travel industry for more than 32 years and sharing that knowledge and experience with my clients. I am passionate about travel and do my best to ensure that all of the details are covered for my clients so that their only job is to enjoy their trip. That doesn’t mean that things can’t go awry because to paraphrase a quote from Heraclitus, “the only constant in travel is change”. Preparing my client for the “what-if” scenario is also part of my job, as well as doing my best to resolve it for them in the rare event when it does happen.
I have traveled extensively in Europe, on cruises and also river cruises. I have been to Hong Kong, Cambodia and Vietnam, Australia and Brazil. I'm proud to say that I’ve traveled 6 of the 7 continents of the world and someday soon I hope to make it to Antarctica. I am both a lifestyle specialist for luxury travel and gay and lesbian travel as well as a destination specialist for Europe, the Caribbean and Hawaii. I have completed master courses for several cruise and river cruise lines.
There are so many to choose from but I can say that Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney, Australia have been major favorites of mine. I have loved just about everything that I’ve been lucky enough to experience in my career.
I would love the opportunity to visit Antarctica, and I still have an African Safari on my bucket list. And, listen...give me the opportunity to experience another river cruise and I won’t think twice about saying "Yes!"
