I was born in Trinidad, an island better known for its steel bands, Calypso and the world’s greatest show on earth…Carnival! I have a very energetic teenage daughter who keeps me very busy but won’t have it any other way. My interest in travel started as a teenager when I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to other islands in the Caribbean and North America. After college I worked for a customs broker for a major company but travel was more my passion. I decided to pursue my goals and went back to school to study travel. I started working for a small travel agency and gained skills and experience, and then was hired at AAA. I love the people I work with and continue to enjoy what I do!
Customer service is my #1 priority. I’m happy when my customers are happy. There’s no better feeling when you hear excitement in their voices and knowing you were part of creating that dream. You can’t buy that online. I’m best at listening and being attentive to people’s needs and wants; creating that image in my mind and using my tools and expertise to build that vacation they’re thinking of. There is no better satisfaction receiving emails from clients while on vacation or hearing from them before I can call, because they’re so excited and eager to tell me about the wonderful time and how thankful they are. Then I know I’ve done my job and it’s the greatest feeling and accomplishment.
I have traveled extensively to the Caribbean both by land and sea. My most memorable travels were to Hawaii, Ireland & Alaska. I’ve traveled to various states and I’m certified in booking travel for Disney, Sandals, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Universal, St Kitts, Italy and much more.
My favorite vacation was to Ireland. The flight was 7 hrs over the Atlantic but it was smooth and easy. I found Dublin to be a very young and diverse city. We ventured to some of the pubs, visited Trinity College, the Guinness Brewery and other wonderful tours. My favorite thing to do was driving through the country roads and seeing ancient castles. It's so Old World, and it feels like you're going back in time. The most memorable moment was being on the Cliffs of Moher -- the breathtaking views of these magnificent cliffs! While on our visit we saw the Ring of Kerry, Blarney Castle, Galway and the beautiful town of Killarney with its horse drawn carriages.
My dream vacation would be to go to Italy. It’s the most popular destination in Europe and I can't even tell you how many trips I’ve booked clients on Italy vacations, wishing every time that someone would let their Travel Agent tag along! I would take 2 weeks and do a Best of Italy escorted tour. I would arrive in Rome for 2 nights to explore Vatican City and the Roman Colosseum. Then I would go to the beautiful and scenic Amalfi Coast and travel by boat to the Isle of Capri to tour Pompeii and spend 2 nights in Sorrento. My journey would continue with a night in Assisi and I would eat my way through their renowned pastas and cheeses. Next I'd spend 2 nights in the romantic city of Venice with a must-do gondola ride and a visit to St. Mark’s Square. Then I'd stop in Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet and go to admire the Roman arena and Juliet’s balcony. I'd continue on my way to Milan for some window shopping in one of the world’s most fashionable cities. My adventure would continue to the Italian Lakes: Lake Como and Lake Maggiore for beautiful sights and private boat tours. Next on the agenda would be Pisa to see famous Leaning Tower before arriving 2 nights in Florence and exploring the wonderful arts of Michelangelo and shopping. And finally, my last night would be back in Rome where I would say farewell and “arrivederci Roma!”
