AAA Western and Central New York has hired a new Senior Human Resources Generalist. Chelsea Carlin joined the team and will support business lines for the HR business partners across Western and Central New York.

Chelsea was born and raised in the Buffalo area and returned home after graduating from Wells College in the Finger Lakes region where she earned a bachelor’s degree in business, entrepreneurship and management. During her summer breaks, Chelsea worked as a front desk customer service receptionist at the Kenmore-Tonawanda AAA Travel & Insurance branch and is excited to return to AAA in her new human resources role.

“I’ve always been a AAA member and used their services, so when I saw the job opening, I felt like it was fate,” she said. “This is an opportunity to get back into something that I started years ago, really coming full circle.”

Chelsea brings years of experience to AAA Western and Central New York, working in the human resources departments at Kaleida Health and then Sodexo. She will work out of the AAA headquarters in Amherst, with a focus on supporting HR business lines in fleet services, the member contact center and more.

“I’ll be assisting with leave of absences, onboarding, employee engagement and other areas,” she said. “At AAA, I’ll be able to focus on building relationships with people.”
When assisting with onboarding, Chelsea will work closely with new hires to offer additional support during their first few weeks and garner employee engagement.

Chelsea and her husband now own the house she grew up in, in Williamsville. They stay busy with their two active dogs, renovating the house, and exploring new restaurants and venues throughout the Western New York community.
