AAA Member Gets AAA/Bills Tattoo

Billy Riggi

There are football fans and there are loyal AAA members. Billy Riggi of North Tonawanda happens to be both. In fact, he's probably the most passionate mix of the two based on his new tattoo, which he unveiled to the "Bills Mafia" Facebook group just before this season's Buffalo Bills home opener.

That tattoo, designed by Ryan at Energy Art, features a combination of the football team's logo with the AAA logo. The tattoo shows Riggi's loyalty to two of his favorite brands, but it also has a deeper meaning related to his family.

"Our twins were in the NICU and one of the nurses asked what our son's name was, and we said Alex," he explains. "She saw the names of the girls on the cribs, Allison and Adalynn, and was like, 'Oh! AAA, like the auto insurance!'"

The idea resonated with Riggi, who has been a loyal AAA member for 16 years. "I wanted to have a tattoo that represented all three of the kids while also representing the Bills. So, I had the idea in my head for a few months and my artist made it work."

His Facebook post has more than 1,100 likes and 150 comments with jokes like, "Wow, this man is really passionate about his auto insurance" or "Lifetime roadside assistance" and "Can I call you when I get a flat?"

To acknowledge his creativity, Riggi received a AAA prize package.
