AAA Travel & Insurance Centers Take Phased Approach to Reopening

Camillus Open

As a membership organization serving this community for 120 years, AAA Western and Central New York is committed to providing reliable service without interruption. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 global pandemic, our associates have gone above and beyond to assist members to rearrange their travel plans, update their insurance policies, and get their cars going again when they needed it most. We are now opening AAA Travel & Insurance Centers in a phased approach, in line with New York State guidelines.

On June 22, we reopened three AAA Travel & Insurance Centers in Central New York:
AAA Camillus, 5103 West Genesee St.
AAA Watertown, Outer Washington St., 19482 US Route 11
AAA Ithaca, 722 S. Meadow St., Suite 900 (no on-demand TripTiks at this time, must pre-order)

  • Please check AAA.com for the most current operating hours for our offices.
  • Other AAA Travel & Insurance Centers will be reopening soon, please check AAA.com to make sure we are open before visiting.
  • Clients who work with a specific travel or insurance agent can contact them directly to confirm their hours and availability.

The safety of our Associates and our Members is our top priority. Here’s what you can expect when you visit our branches:

  • If you feel sick, please do not visit our offices.
  • Please bring, and wear, a face covering, and always maintain six feet of social distancing.
  • We ask that you limit the number of people in your party to two adults. If possible, please leave children at home to protect the health and safety of your family.
  • Prearranged appointments are highly encouraged.
  • Waiting room space will be limited. If a short wait time is necessary, we may ask you to wait in your vehicle after checking in.
  • Although we will accept cash, credit card payments are preferred.
  • Restrooms will not be open to the public.
  • Please understand that we are all in this together. If someone becomes ill, we may choose to close an office on short notice in the best interest of our associates and members.

Virtual appointments are still available by phone or email.

An important reminder for those who had to change their travel plans:

  • AAA anticipates pent-up demand as travelers emerge to rebook vacations, plan road trips, obtain maps and restart their everyday lives, so appointments are highly encouraged.
  • Members should begin planning future travel now, rather than later, for the most options, best availability and the lowest price point.
