AAA Western and Central New York has hired Dan Ponivas as its Information Technology Manager of End User Services.

In his new role, Ponivas will be based out of the AAA headquarters in Amherst and will provide support for all AAA end users across the organization’s regional footprint. He will manage the IT support team’s activities, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively. In addition, Ponivas will identify areas of improvement and assist with problem resolution.

“I feel fortunate to have joined such a talented group at AAA,” Ponivas said. “I’m excited to learn from my new team and bring my experience to the IT service desk.”

Prior to joining AAA, Ponivas worked as the IT Systems Manager at The Summit Center.

“I have over 20 years of IT experience and spent the last six years in a leadership role at a special education school in Amherst,” he said. “I believe my knowledge of IT systems, compliance, and customer service can positively impact AAA.”

Ponivas grew up in West Seneca and now makes his home in Kenmore with his wife Laura and their teenage children Miles and Ella. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and taking on DIY projects at home.
