AAA Western and Central New York has hired a new Senior Vice President of Sales. James Miller joined the team at AAA in May and will oversee Insurance, Travel, and Sales Operations across Western and Central New York.

James recently moved to the area from Texas where he was born and raised.  While he is new to the region, James has deep roots with AAA holding various senior leadership roles for AAA Mountain West Group, which covers Northern California, Nevada, and Utah. James also worked at CSAA Insurance where he got his start as an underwriter.

James brings vast experience to AAA Western and Central New York covering insurance sales, branch management, membership sales, call center management, sales performance metrics, and talent management. He will work out of the AAA headquarters in Amherst.

“I’ve worn many hats in my career, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to bring all those hats together here at AAA Western and Central New York,” he said. “I’m excited to learn about the community as well.”

James called many states home over the years while focusing on the growth of Mountain West Group by building a strong sales foundation.

James holds his CPCU for property and casualty underwriting, as well as various certifications in Call Center Management and Workforce Management.

James is an avid traveler with his wife Noemi. They recently returned from a trip to Egypt. Together they enjoy hiking, exploring new cities, and shopping for unique antiques. They now reside in Williamsville, N.Y.
