AAA Western and Central New York has hired a Director of Sales Operations & Membership. Mary Trincanati recently joined the team at AAA and brings a wealth of experience, all thanks to a roadside service call.

With a rich background in leadership and as a Lean Six Sigma green belt, Mary brings valuable experience from her previous position at Highmark Health, where she dedicated 14 years to collaborating with multiple teams to improve customer experience, boost sales, streamline marketing efforts, operations, and leverage new IT solutions. Prior to her tenure at Highmark, Mary showcased her leadership skills in sales and brand management roles for various companies.

It was a call to AAA that ultimately led her to her latest career opportunity. “I actually got a flat tire, and as I was waiting for the technician to arrive, I thought, ‘I wonder if AAA is hiring,” she explained. “And the rest is history!”

In her new role with AAA, Mary will be responsible for driving membership growth, enhancing retention, and fostering member product engagement.

“I’m thrilled to bring my skills to AAA. It’s a strong membership organization, and I’ve always had a good experience — it’s nice to see the AAA truck pull up when you need them,” she said. “I look forward to promoting all of the valuable benefits that come with AAA membership.”

“We look forward to the fresh perspectives and remarkable contributions that Mary will bring to our Sales Operations Department and to membership growth for our organization as a whole,” said James Miller, Senior Vice President of Sales at AAA Western and Central New York.

Mary is a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and she has completed the Women’s Leadership Program at the University at Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Leadership and Operational Excellence.

On a personal note, Mary is an accomplished equestrian, and she dedicates her spare time to teaching children with special needs at the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center, where she’s been a longtime volunteer. “It’s very meaningful to me,” she said.

Mary grew up in the City of Buffalo and attended Buffalo Seminary. She and her partner, James (Jamie), reside in Orchard Park.
