AAA Western and Central New York has hired Alyssa McGovern in a new role as Insurance Retention and Training Manager. Alyssa joins AAA with 12 years of experience in the insurance industry with CPCU and AINS certifications.

Based out of the Amherst, NY, headquarters, Alyssa will focus on strategic retention and training programs for AAA Insurance across the Western and Central New York region. 

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to coach and grow associates at AAA by developing a top-notch training program,” she said. “I will also focus on strategic planning around retention.”

Alyssa most recently worked for Geico, and she’s excited to join the Insurance team at AAA Western and Central New York. “AAA is a well-known brand — you find memberships under the family Christmas tree,” she said. “AAA also allows families to protect their most important assets with insurance.”

AAA Western and Central New York offers a variety of insurance products: auto, home, renters, life, commercial, motorcycle, RV, pet, and Medicare. 

Originally from Barker, NY, Alyssa is a graduate of the University of Rochester and now calls Lockport home.

When she’s not focusing on insurance, you can find Alyssa exploring travel opportunities — Hawaii is her favorite destination. She also spends her free time caring for her home and refinishing furniture. “I love finding items and turning them into something beautiful,” she said.
