Michael Grochala joins AAA WCNY

Michael Grochala has joined AAA Western and Central New York as Manager of Battery and Approved Auto Repair programs for the organization. Mike joins AAA with a robust and successful career in automotive account management in and around the Western New York region.

In his new role, Mike will focus on strategic goals to build partnerships and improve member experience while increasing efficiency, sales, and customer service. He will work closely with AAA’s automotive team, fleet operations and contractor network across Western and Central New York.

“I’m excited to come to AAA to utilize my automotive and sales experience,” Mike said. “I’ve worked with many of the current partner facilities, and I look forward to building new relationships across the AAA territory.”

Most recently Mike worked for both NAPA and the Icahn Automotive Group (Auto Plus & Pep Boys) in the competitive B2B marketplace.

AAA Western and Central New York has a vast Approved Auto Repair (AAR) network where participating facilities undergo rigorous inspections to ensure reliability to motorists. AAA’s battery program includes convenient Mobile Battery Service where trained technicians can test and install new batteries at a driver’s home or workplace. Learn more at www.AAA.com/AutoRepair.

Mike lives in North Tonawanda with his wife and three daughters and is an avid sports enthusiast. In fact, he enjoys participating in ultra-marathons, ranging from 30 to 100 miles. Last year, he ran 131 miles from Niagara Falls to Highmark Stadium and beyond in 48 hours raising $6,000 for the group PLUM (Peace Love Unity Movement).

His family enjoys running, sports, travel, and two of his daughters participate in competitive dance. To say they are an active family is an understatement!
When he’s not participating in family events, Mike also lends his time to his passion for sports memorabilia as co-owner of Silo City Collectibles.
Mike is a graduate of Kenmore West High School and ITT and attended Erie Community College.
