New Yorkers have counted on Sean Hennessey for years – not just as the assistant Department of Transportation commissioner but also as an organizer behind the North Country Goes Green Irish festival and most recently as the assistant director of the New York State Fair.

So, who does Hennessey count on when he’s in a jam on the road? AAA, of course.

“We live in a rural community. Knowing we have a big brother/sister to call when things get a bit dicey makes AAA a must-own,” Hennessey said.

Hennessey remembers that his father always had a AAA membership. As a 10-plus year member himself, the Queens native said he appreciates the peace of mind AAA gives him today.

“I love not having a car payment, so having a AAA card in my back pocket has been a life saver,” he said. “I love the product line, and the team members are exceptional. When I call, AAA is always there!”

Recently, Hennessey had a flat tire and called AAA for help. The AAA roadside technician who arrived struck up a conversation with Hennessey.

“We got to chatting and found out he’s a neighbor a few doors down from our home. He got us on our way, and now we see each other all the time in the local shops,” Hennessey said. “AAA is all about hometown!”
