AAA likes to treat our members like family, making sure they are secure on the road with access to all the great AAA benefits that make life easier.

Some AAA members really are family, like twin brother and sister Carlos and Crystal Guash, both originally from Buffalo. As you’d imagine, the Guash twins have a lot in common, including their own “AAA to the rescue” stories.

Carlos, who manages a 5-star spa in Washington, D.C., got a flat tire while driving to New York for the holidays during a snowstorm.

“Visibility was horrendous, but we were able to have AAA meet us in the middle of nowhere and our holiday was saved,” he said.

Crystal works as a commercial property manager in Buffalo. During a drive to Syracuse, Crystal’s car ran out of gas. She said she was panicking until she contacted AAA.

“After calling AAA, in no time at all someone showed up with enough gas to get me to the next rest stop,” Crystal said. “It was so easy, and I was back on my way with very little lost time!”

Carlos and Crystal aren’t just AAA members, they are also AAA Travel veterans. They both took part in the AAA Travel with Pride trip to Costa Rica this past winter.

Carlos said he learned about the Costa Rica trip through social media. Carlos invited Crystal, who was quickly sold on the tropical adventure. “My brother first told me about the group travel opportunity and our trip to Costa Rica was the most incredible time of my life! Everything was planned perfectly, and our travel was so seamless,” she said.

Growing up, the Guash twins created lasting memories traveling with their big family. Now as an adult, Crystal said she cherishes the opportunity to travel with her “absolute favorite person on the planet,” her brother Carlos. Carlos echoed those sentiments.
