A satisfied Medicare experience: Laura Lee DeCinque

Laura Lee DeCinque is a dedicated AAA Member from Ellicottville. Laura's history with AAA goes back for decades, relying on our roadside services during her extensive road trips for various automotive issues.

"Each year, AAA is one of our Christmas stocking gifts for our two boys. Even though they're adults now, they kind of expect it," Laura shared. "My husband Greg and I have AAA Plus®, and then I have the same for the boys."

As Laura approached the age of 65, she began to inquire about Medicare. Her initial experiences with non-AAA Medicare consultation services left her with more questions than answers.

"I met with a firm locally that charged a fee for me to sit down with them for about 45 minutes, and I walked away from that not feeling that I had enough knowledge to make a decision," she recounted.

Laura continued her search for guidance, meeting with another Medicare service provider but still feeling unsure about her choices. That's when she decided to schedule a complimentary consultation with AAA Medicare Licensed Advisor Mike Matecki.

Laura's meeting with Mike brought her the clarity and confidence she had been seeking. One of her primary concerns was the potential gap in coverage during the transition from her health insurance provider to Medicare.

"Mike made me feel very comfortable about that. I was so worried that there would be a lapse in coverage, and there wasn't one at all. Not for one moment," Laura shared.

Feeling satisfied with the service and her coverage, Laura recommended AAA Medicare to friends who were already receiving Medicare coverage directly through a health insurer.

"They were able to switch over with ease to a whole different plan because their needs had changed over time," Laura said. "So, they were really happy, and I knew that I was putting them in good hands."

Laura's experience highlights the invaluable role AAA Medicare can play in simplifying the Medicare decision-making process and ensuring a seamless transition to new plans when needed.
