Did you know that our Club has a weekly radio program called AAA Talking Travel? Topics usually feature: travel destinations and opportunities, covers the travel industry, and provides tips and information for travelers. However, considering the recent ever-evolving situation regarding COVID-19 and travel, AAA Western and Central New York is doing our best to keep members informed amid the ongoing pandemic.

AAA Talking Travel hosts Brian Murray, director of travel and Elizabeth Carey, director of public relations—with host Roger Christian—are now broadcasting the show every weekday morning on WECK! The segments, which run at 8:35 a.m. with an earlier show on Thursdays at 8:15 a.m., will use the program to focus on COVID-19, to answer travelers’ questions and discuss the current travel restrictions in place.

In the Friday, March 20th segment, AAA shared the following details:

  • Disney - following the closure of Disney parks and cruises, all Disney hotels will now close effective 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 20.

It is very popular with tourists across the globe and has been postponed to the year 2022.

Please note that there may be more cancellations and suspensions since this was published as the situation continues to evolve quickly. Concerned travelers should always reach out to their travel consultant for the latest information. When AAA Western and Central New York receives notifications, the travel department immediately pulls a list of all travelers on that itinerary and proactively reaches out to them to assist with their travel needs. AAA is here for travelers before, during and after their trip and throughout this pandemic.
