Here are some travel updates for Wednesday, April 1:

  • New York has extended the deadline to renew licenses and automobile inspections. If you do want to have your vehicle inspected, AAA Car Care Plus in Clarence is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm.
  • Guided vacations: A popular form of small group travel with a guide. Several vendors are extending suspensions on small guided tours. Here is the latest:

  • Member Choice Vacations has extended suspension through May 15 (departures to China through Aug 31).
  • Insight Vacations/Luxury Gold have extended temporarily suspension of all guided vacations across the globe for trips departing up until June 30.
  • Trafalgar (Trafalgar, CostSavers, Brendan Vacations) has extended tempory suspension of all guided vacations across the globe for trips departing up until June 30.
  • Avanti Destinations has taken the action to cancel all bookings traveling on or before May 16.

With information changing rapidly and, in an effort, to keep the public informed, AAA will share the latest information with radio host Roger Christian each weekday morning on WECK Buffalo. These segments run at 8:35 a.m. with an earlier segment on Thursdays at 8:15 a.m.

Please note that there may be more cancellations and suspensions since this was published as the situation continues to evolve quickly. Concerned travelers should always reach out to their travel consultant for the latest information. When AAA Western and Central New York receives notifications, the travel department immediately pulls a list of all travelers on that itinerary and proactively reaches out to them to assist with their travel needs.

AAA is here for travelers before, during and after their trip and throughout this pandemic.
